41 Million deaths globally each year are caused by Non-communicable diseases (NCDs), contributing 71% of all deaths globally, with cardiovascular diseases, cancers, respiratory diseases and diabetes contributing over 79% of NCD deaths.
To the shock of many, 15 Million of these NCD deaths yearly is contributed by people between the ages of 30 and 69 years, affecting people at their prime due to a mistaken viewpoint that NCDs are mainly associated with older age groups. Due to its expensive and lengthy treatment, NCDs force millions into poverty annually.
