NUTRIGENOMICS
Uncover diet secrets hidden in your genes
Today, the chemical building blocks of DNA in the genome enable accurate predictions of whether an individual will respond positively to food, what exercises would suit their bodies, to even the type of diet they need to lose weight.
Therefore, in order to realise truly personalised wellness, we bring you a Nutrigenomics Panel that provides powerful insights into the types of foods that would achieve the best results for your body.
Ever wondered how your body reacts with food?
Nutrigenomics is the study of how genetics interacts with the foods we eat. The panel identifies key genes that have an influence over your appetite, fat storage, risk of elevated triglycerides and your ability to breakdown fat. The panel further ascertains the most appropriate diet based on your genetic results and provides you with a food guide, your recommended nutritional breakdown and portion sizes based on your genetic profile.
The Nutrigenomics and Fit-Genomics Panel also includes a consultation with our dietitian who will advise you on your results and work to craft a plan for your diet. Other services include providing advice on the types of foods to buy and how you can maintain a healthy lifestyle.
The panel includes insights into your body’s nutrition like:
-
What could potentially be the best type of diet for you?
-
Do you have a gene that makes you more likely to snack?
-
Are there certain vitamins that you are likely to be deficient in?
-
Is there a reason why you cannot resist eating certain foods?
-
Uncover the interaction between your diet and your cholesterol
-
Understand why your body reacts in a specific way to various foods such as dairy products and caffeine.
FITGENOMICS
Fit-Genomics is the study of how genetics interacts with your physical body, providing valuable insight into your weight gain/loss, metabolism and reaction to different types of exercise. The portion of the Nutrigenomics & Fit-Genomics Panel reduces the amount of experimentation required by helping you understand which exercises and body movements are best suited for your body.
The panel identifies key genes that have been scientifically shown to affect how efficiently your muscles contract and use energy, or how long and elastic your tendons are. The genetic test reveals your unique fitness and exercise potential including risk of injury, muscle power and strength, as well as recovery time.
The panel further ascertains the most appropriate forms of exercises (endurance or strength training) based on your genetic results.
Nutrigenomics and Fit-Genomics Panel can assist you to:
- Achieve your ideal weight
- Live healthier & feel more energetic
- Discover which exercises suit you best
- Make smarter and informed food choices
